Nonviolence week is October 5th - October 11th. MLK will honor this week with morning announcements to students. On Thursday, October 9th, students and staff are encouraged to wear purple, as purple is the color that represents nonviolence. Also on Thursday, students will be chalking the walk with peaceful pictures and messages during recess. Later in the day, students will participate in a nonviolence parade around the school.
